Culinary Anthropologist

Win a culinary break in Slovenia

Klavze28houseCulinary Anthropologist has teamed up with friends in Slovenia to offer this exciting prize draw. The lucky winners will spend two nights at Klavže 28 – a beautifully restored stone farmhouse set in 20 acres of forest and meadow in the foothills of the Julian Alps in the stunning Soca Valley.

You will be hosted by Anna’s friend Ben, who together with partner Steffan painstakingly renovated Klavže 28 into the very special guesthouse it is today.

You will fall asleep in the warmth of the wood-burner and wake to a mountain valley panorama and the smell of breakfast cooking downstairs. Depending on the season, you might then find yourself collecting wild garlic in the woods nearby, hunting for porcini higher up, learning how to make cheese with a local producer or helping Ben cook up another feast in the kitchen.

You can of course extend your stay. Ben would be happy to organise further activities for you, such as a visit to Lake Bled, paragliding, or a visit to one of the best Goriška Brda wineries for a tour, tasting and lunch overlooking the vineyards.
